How to grow your clientele (1)

Howdy blog fam,

I hope you are still on track with those new year resolutions, I am still should I say partially on track , we all need strength čÖé . This year has kicked off with the harmattan , who would have thought that in Lagos we could experience such harsh weather conditions , my doors are squeaky , my skin is dry, i can sleep like a baby at night  ….. i don’t know whether to love it or hate it .

Anyways, todayÔÇÖs post is majorly for any makeup artist who wants to grow their business -that is a Makeup Artist Freelancer or Studio Owner. Some of the tips I am going to post might not be new to you but they will act as a quick reminder and help keep you committed.

As some of you might know, I have been working as a professional makeup artist for almost 7 years and during these years I have worked with different brands in various capacities and I can say this for free that a simple marketing strategy is VERY important to the sustenance of your makeup business, it doesnÔÇÖt have to cost a million , its just a simple and easy to follow plan.

You can break down each activity into phases ÔÇô daily weekly and monthly plan of how to market your brand. How do you attract a new client? How do you maintain the old ones? How do you build your brand?

If you donÔÇÖt already have  a Personal pitch for yourself and brand( which should be less than 100 words) , then maybe this might help –  Hello my name is Oluwayemisi Seriki, gaziantep escort CEO and Head Makeup Artist NÔÇÖsure Beauty Studio,  I am a passionate Beauty Blogger and beauty consultant/coach. I particularly love the  business side of makeup love.I love to teach and also learn.

Next, if you donÔÇÖt have a logo its time to get one or if you have and you feel it needs revamping go ahead and rebrand. It is advisable to get it done professionally so that you will taken seriously .  A contract form is also important , ata┼čehir escort we have touched on it previously , if you missed that check here .  You would also need a booking form,  a service rate, a website with your contacts and social media handles. You could also do collaboration with other vendors in the industry but make sure you book only the capacity you can handle. it is also very important to get your pricing , skill set and kit right.

Ok, so that we don’t take in to much without implementing , we will have the concluding part at a later post eski┼čehir escort .I hope this will help a bit though, you can share with me tips on how you plan to grow your business in 2015.

Till my next post,
Hugs and Kisses,

  1. Happy New Year Ms N’sure. Like your in my head, already working on some of the things you listed out. Balancing between old and new clients ain’t easy you just have to find a way around it, so as make everyone feel important, also so you don’t loose either of them.

  2. Thanks so much for this… since I am partially new to the profession, I decided to use my sisters as models and did makeovers on them, this has actually helped in getting me 3 clients for next month.
So, for those of us who are just really starting up, you could do same.
I’m grateful ‘cos I am learning alot from you, but I’ll also love to work with a studio, inorder to get better.

  3. Thanks a lot for this post. Very nice. The importance of social media cann be overemphasised. ..and its free. As an aspiring make up artist,I understand thats its key. Thanks a lot and God bless.

  4. Thanks for the write up. I used my sisters as models, and about setting up my website, but attracting customers is what i dont know. Like where and where is advisable, who to mingle with, where to start from. I invested alot in my makeup kit, cos i wanted smthn unique. Would really appreciate advice on how to be noticeable to the right people
