My First Experience with Picking Fresh Roses.

There’s something peaceful about weekends. It’s the perfect time to slow down, reflect, and do something you love. Recently, I had the chance to go rose picking, and it was a wonderful experience. Roses, with their bright colors, soft petals, and sweet fragrance, have officially become my favorite flower.

While I’ve always admired roses from afar, picking and arranging them myself was an unforgettable experience. I saw a Rose garden once.

Discovering My Love for Roses

I’ve always been drawn to flowers. Their classiness, the way they bloom, and the variety of colors never fail to captivate me. Although my garden is small, filled with strawberries and spring onions, my next-door neighbor’s rose garden is a masterpiece.

My neighbor has a green thumb and a generous heart. Whenever her roses bloom, she sends over the most beautiful bouquets. This time, they invited me to experience the joy of picking roses myself.

Picking Fresh Roses for the First Time

Stepping into their rose garden felt like walking into a fairytale. The air was filled with the gentle, sweet scent of roses, and the vibrant colors, reds, pinks, yellows, and whites, were mesmerizing.

What I didn’t know was that not all roses are the same. Some varieties have sharp thorns, while others are thorn-free. Handling them required care and patience, but the joy of picking each bloom made it worth it.

I also discovered something else: roses attract bees. At first, I was a little nervous about the buzzing sounds, but they were too busy enjoying the flowers to bother me. It was a humbling reminder of how nature works together in harmony.

Arranging After Picking Fresh Roses

Once I brought the freshly picked roses home, I couldn’t wait to arrange them. I carefully trimmed the stems, removed some leaves, and experimented with different arrangements until I found the perfect look.

Seeing the roses displayed on my kitchen table brought me so much joy. Their beauty brightened up the room, and their fragrance created a calming atmosphere.

What Do You Think?

For my first time arranging roses, I think I did a pretty good job. What about you? Do you enjoy fresh flowers in your home? Have you ever tried picking and arranging roses yourself?

Inspired to Start My Own Rose Garden

This experience has inspired me to grow roses in my garden. It’s my next big gardening project, and I can’t wait to see my first blooms. If you have any tips for a beginner rose gardener, I’d love to hear them.

Roses truly are nature’s gift. Picking them, arranging them, or simply admiring their beauty, they have a way of bringing joy and calm to your day.
