Hello Guys,
I sure hope you are having a great week because mine has been eventful. I got a mail from Omolola of Pops concepts informing me that Makeup Artistry has been included into the Subsectors in the Nigerian Creative Industry and a seminar was being organised by the Creative Entrepreneur Association of Nigeria (CEAN) with the support of the British Council. I was so excited because this means the Makeup and Beauty industry finally got recognized.
Eryca Freemantle was going to be the key note speaker brought in by British Council of Nigeria for the June Creative Enterprise session in Lagos. The meeting was to help Creative Entrepreneurs build skills, expand network, find market and develop their business into becoming a global brand.
A Little insight to who Eryca Freemantle is.
Eryca Freemantle is UK’s leading Diversity and Ethnic Champion on makeup artistry, skin care, product development, training and grooming. She has been in the beauty business for over 30 years, working with leading brands in the industry
Eryca willingly shares her journey from being bullied at school, a major car accident, leaving her with multiple scars on her face and the loss of her hair, to becoming one of the leading consultants in the industry. She views the history, heritage, vision, mindset, journey and most of all the desired needs of all women of colour thereby ensuring products reach the intended target audience.
Eryca is currently supported by the UKTI (United Kingdom Trade & Investments) as an international beauty case study for the UK government. This involves supporting representatives from Brazil, Spain, USA, South Africa, West Africa, India, Japan, and France, who require her expertise to improve their makeup and skincare needs for women of colour. She has gone from strength to strength, globally promoting awareness about makeup, training, self esteem, confidence and diversification in the beauty industry.
She works alongside The British Association of Beauty Therapy & Cosmetology (BABTAC) to promote and increase development and awareness of women of colour in the beauty industry. She offers international accredited master classes and courses.
