Minimalist Skincare Routine: Haul 2022.

My first Modest Skincare Haul 2022

Hiya beauties, Can you believe how fast this year is flying by? It’s already February—woah! Today, I’m excited to share my first modest skincare haul for 2022 with you.

The Shift to Skincare

When the pandemic started around January 2020, I noticed I was using less makeup since there weren’t many events to attend due to the imposed lockdown and compulsory social distancing. This shift led me to take my skincare routine more seriously. Looking back, it turned out to be the best move —my skin now looks plush and hydrated!

I want to clarify that I am not a fan of the extensive 20-step routines. I prefer the bare minimum, as I neither have the patience nor the money to waste.

The Power of Multi-Purpose Products

One significant strategy I found effective was getting products that serve multiple purposes. For example, a face wash that doubles as a hydrating cleanser can both cleanse and moisturize your skin, allowing you to buy fewer products overall.

Knowing your skin type is crucial when beginning your skincare journey. Without this knowledge, you might spend more money and not achieve the great-looking skin you desire.

My Minimalist Skincare Haul

Here are some of the key products from my 2022 skincare haul:

1. Hydrating Cleanser and wash: A dual-purpose product that cleanses and moisturizes.

2. Multi-Tasking Serum: Targets multiple skin concerns with one application.

3. Lightweight Moisturizer: Provides sufficient hydration without feeling heavy.

From the Left …The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Facial Wash, E45 Cream, and Ole Henriksen Truth serum.

I have The Body Shop Tea Tree skin clearing facial wash, E45 Cream, and OLEHENRIKSEN Truth serum Collagen boosted. I can’t remember how much each cost but I got them from Boots. The E45 is a perfect moisturizer that works for normal to dry skin, eczema, itchy skin, and sunburn. I use it for both my body and face. It’s so good and I have repurchased more than once. I will highly recommend it.

E45 Cream
It’s a white-paste consistency.

The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Facial wash with purifying tea tree oil from the foothills of Mount Kenya is worth every penny. It washes your face without drying out your skin PH and leaves your skin really clean and slightly minty because of the tea tree. I am a big fan of The Body Shop and will repurchase and recommend it.

The Body Shop Facial clearing wash
I love the easy-to-open lid and it comes out in clear gel.

The Ole Henriksen Truth Serum helps to boost the skin leaving collagen, an age-defying serum, helps brighten, firm, and gives all-day hydration leaving your skin with a youthful-looking glow. You will love this especially if you have a bit of hyperpigmentation, it can clear that out.

Ole Henriksen Truth Serum
Its a clear running consistency and a little goes a long way
My modest unisex haul for skincare
My skin without makeup, Looks even and hydrated.

All products purchased are Unisex if you are result-oriented. The first step- The Body Shop Facial wash on your face and rinse out with clean water, towel dry, apply Ole Henriksen Truth serum by dabbing lightly all over your face and neck, leave for 10 minutes, and apply your E45 cream to lock in moisture.

Embracing a minimalist approach to skincare has been a game-changer for me. By focusing on high-quality, multi-purpose products and understanding my skin type, my skin is healthy, and glowing without breaking the bank.

I hope this haul inspires you to simplify your routine and discover the benefits of a more focused skincare regimen. Remember, less can truly be more when it comes to skincare!

Till my next post, lots of love,

Misy.
