NYX Face Glue Primer & Setting Spray Review.

NYX Face Glue Primer & Setting Spray Review. I stumbled upon NYX’s Face Glue Primer & Setting Spray during one of my visits to Priceline. The bold packaging and intriguing name immediately caught my attention. I mean, who wouldn’t be curious about a product that promises to “glue” your makeup in place?

What piqued my interest was the inclusion of maple syrup as an ingredient. I’ve never heard of that in a primer before! Between the novelty and the cute, superglue-inspired packaging, I couldn’t resist giving it a try. Here’s my honest take on both products.

The Face Glue Primer

NYX Face Glue Primer

First Impressions:

  • Texture & Formula: A water-based, creamy white primer that blends seamlessly into the skin without leaving a white cast.
  • Fragrance: Completely fragrance-free, which is great for sensitive skin.
  • Finish: Dries down quickly, feels lightweight, and doesn’t clog pores.
  • Performance: It creates a smooth, hydrated base that helps foundation adhere better and last longer.

Verdict:

loved the NYX Face Glue primer. It kept my makeup in place without feeling sticky or heavy. The texture is perfect for everyday wear, and it works well under different foundation formulas.

Price: $23.99 (available at Priceline Australia)

NYX Face Glue Setting Spray

First Impressions:

  • Fragrance: No noticeable scent.
  • Spray Mist: The spritz is fine and even, but it leaves a slight shine after application.
  • Drying Time: Takes a moderate amount of time to dry down.
  • Performance: It does “glue” makeup in place without feeling sticky, but I wasn’t as impressed as I was with the primer.

Verdict:

While it got the job done, I wasn’t crazy about the shine it left behind. If you have dry skin, you might enjoy the dewy effect, but for oily skin types, it might not be the best fit.

Final Thoughts on NYX Face Glue Primer & NYX Face Glue Setting Spray.

I have used various primers and oil controls over the years here. The NYX Face Glue Primer is a winner; it’s hydrating, long-lasting, and creates the perfect base for makeup. The NYX Face Glue Setting Spray, however, was just okay for me. If you’re in Australia, you can find both at Priceline.
