Meet CEO of Hegai and Esther.

Hey there Beauties,

I hope you had a lovely weekend despite the rain. I am so glad its Monday and today i want to start off the week by introducing my friend Gbemi a fellow PAN African Alumni who is doing marvelously well in the   makeup industry.

She pioneered the Makeup Hygiene Campaign in 2012 advocating for Professional Makeup Artists  to sanitize  tools they use  and how to  generally care about the well being of their client in order to prevent the spread of diseases via sharing dirty makeup tools and unclean practices. She has carved a niche for herself by specializing in the Sales of makeup tools and accessories i.e. disposable items like wedges, spatulas, disposable Aprons, disposable Mascara wands, mirrors, Alcohol, mixing pallets, Makeup Brush belt, clear containers to decant your makeup products Makeup boxes, Makeup brushes to mention but a few .She is happily married to Mr. Ademola and blessed with three wonderful kids. Jade, Segunfunmi and Seyimofe.

Can we meet you?My name is Gbemisola Ademola Adebayo, I am a wife mother of 3 beautiful daughters and an entrepreneur.

How did you start your journey into makeup?

As a little girl I always had a flair for the arts but honesty I didn’t know I was going to pick a career from the field .During my extra year in the university (Great IFE !!!) I discovered some people actually trim their brows. I found it intriguing and so I decided to learn the art of brow sculpting… that marked the beginning of my journey into the business of makeup

Who inspired you / Role Model?I have two role models of which Tara Fela Durotoye is one. She was the first Makeup Atist / Entrepreneur I ever heard of and met. I also find her business acumen impeccable.

If you were not doing makeup what would you have done?

I would have been working with the United Nations as a social worker. I also have a passion for children with special needs.

What makes your business different or stand out?

Hegai and Esther is a company that has created a brand concept consisting of makeup tools hygiene essentials and recently we also ventured into the makeup product. We have clear value proposition and that is offering Makeup Artist and Makeup Enthusiast tops quality but affordable makeup accessories.

We are also perceived as compassionate brand because of recent campaign for Makeup hygiene.

5 years from now?

This is always a tough one. I see H & E putting our great country Nigeria on the world business map and becoming a respected household name in the makeup industry with a very wide spectrum of makeup items useful for makeup consumers.

I am a sucker for business books

Advise for upcoming / Aspiring MUA?Education and skill upgrade is KEY; they should also explore other field of Makeup Artistry. Carve a niche for in the industry.
